Found this in my oil pan

I have a picture of a bearing i found in my oil pan, car runs drive no knock.
car has 20k original miles on it 1 owner.

What size is your oil drain line? They may have made their way down being in those little pieces kind of difficult to judge the size but the paper gives a decent reference.

Edit: I got beat by a minute on that response.

stock oil drain.

i just check.. those piece fit through the stock drain perfect.. and my stock turbo was smoked so it all makes sense.

How the hell did you kill a T25 bad enough to put journal bearings in the oil pan in 20k miles or less?

damn the only "treasurer" Ive ever found in my motor is a hand full of valves/piston/block with a few other unidentifiable metal pieces

Turbo journal bearing; very worn.

OEM T25 bearings have a silver coating.

Do you people even read the replies in these threads? Or do you just look at the title and picture(s) and reply? My God.

Looks like a turbo bearing somehow ended up in there. Makes you wonder if there was really 20k of original miles on that motor? Good luck.

I believe that response was towards the other posters who were still guessing at what the OP's photo was of when you had already solved that mystery. I'm still interested to hear how the OP got the turbo to granade itself to that point.

Haha I was thinking the same thing, just trying to get some posts in apparently. As for the bearing, you must have really gotten in some fun during that first 20k miles!

I bet that old 60 year old had a boost controller and turned the boost up to 25psi and before she sold the car she took it off.

My old t25's journal bearing broke in two and each fell threw the oil return,it can happen.When i opened the turbo and only found one bearing in it i went on to find two half's in my block with a lot of metal shavings.

Journal bearings? Crazy that they must've fallen down the drain tube. I was going to say, based on the first few replies, there's no way that got into the oil pan from swapping cams.

Luckly you cant run 25psi on a t25.

I've found treasures in my 4G63 12mm socket in the the no 4 cylinder intake, wire cutters in the power steering cross member, $$$ under the spare tire.
I like tearing my car apart because I never know what I'm going to find next! (Or discover what is missing...)

JUSmx141 posted the picture and it was close. However, it wasn't the exact thing my suggestion is you take it to the stealership and ask them what it is. Someone who is really into cars there will more than likely know exactly what it is and will be thrilled to show the rest of the shop what was found in the oil pan. Mechanics are junkies and when anomalies like this happen it's like uncut, raw, sh*t to their veins. Who knows, maybe you'll make a friend down there and get better pricing on OEM things. Couldn't hurt...
