Found this in my Oil Pan, What is it?

Took my oilpan off and found this on my magnetic oil drain plug. I proceeded by removing all pistons and rods for inspection and they were all in good condition. Does anyone know what this went to?

NO! Lol, It is the same diameter is a Penny. Sorry about that.

Might be a piece of the threading from your drain plug, either the female or male.
Did you check for missing threads?

Yeah thats what I thought that it was. Because the old one had trouble going in and out, And I replaced it with the magnetic one, so I just needed a second opinion. thanks man!

I was thinking it was a drain plug thread also.
matter fact, I would bet money that that's it.
