Found the plug name, but what does it do??

Hey guys. Im tucking my harness, and getting rid of the stuff i dont need in the engine harness. Now ive done this before, but ive never dealt with this plug before. What purpose does this serve? Its not connected to anything, but judging by the name, it would seem like sometime the dealer would use, or who knows. Any insight would be AWESOME! Thanks guys!

That means its probably a tach signal with a ground reference next to it. You can test the theory by testing it with a meter. If I am correct then the black/white should be a ground and the blue/red should be the tach.

Put your meter on the AC setting then put one of your probes in the plug and the other on the chassis ground.

Then start the car and it should read maybe half a volt but when you rev the car the voltage should increase with the engines rpm.

Make sure you use a meter and not a test light as the back feed from the bulb inside the test light can damage sensitive electronics like in this circuit.

I think that is the fuel pump tester port.

It is not for the fuel pump, and there are not two pins in the connector. There are two wires running to one pin. Please read the link in post 2.
