found my boost creep culprit

I was feeling pretty handy today so i decided to take my turbo off and find out why i was having boost creep. Well I found that it has an Ebay 16g turbo and an it has an teeny tiny waste-gate whole in the exhaust housing. So I will be taking it to the machine shop tomorrow to have it ported since i don't have a dremel or rotary tool. Thanks for everyone that posted in my threads and helped me diagnose this problem.

This isn't a shocking revelation. Here's a post of mine from 5 years ago:

You'll see in this photo of a brand new eBay knockoff 16G that even though the flapper is 34mm, the hole itself measures about 22mm I.D.-

The only solution is to port the hole to utilize the entire area of the flapper-

exactly but however this is kinda new to me since i have never owned a dsm with anything larger then the stock turbo. So I will try to port the waste gate tomorrow and will post pics before and after along with the gaskets.

Exactly what mine looked like. I did the exact same thing and also ported the other side of the waste gate housing to let the gases flow to the hole better, however I was completely filthy and didn't take any pics. Since I've done it, I can hold stock boost with no troubles. Glad you got the solution.

Well they just get so excited that they have finally done it, they just want to get it reinstalled and see if it works. Then think, Oh S*** I forgot to take pics.
