Found broken fin on ex turbine big16g

So I was taking my tdo5h big 16g apart getting ready for rebuild and found this.

Not sure if the picture went through, haven't added any sense the site changed over. But their is a small chip taken out of one fin on the ex turbine. Is this a big deal or not to worry?

Is it going to give complications when I get it balanced?

Ok we'll thanks guys, I will just buy a new on and not bother with it. Don't want any problems after I rebuild it.

Yea I'd go with a new one, as spool would be affected by that gap.

Take chip out of the blade opposite it and have it balanced.run it

i was gonna say it will affect balance, and at 100k+ rpms, i wouldnt risk it. although bastard makes a decent option. then again, any balancer is going to tell you that turbo will fail and recommend against running it.

Although damage to the exducer isn't as crucial as the inducer on a turbine, I still wouldn't run that...it should be replaced. That's a fairly significant chunk.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry I haven't been watching this thread too much. I'm just going to get another 16g their are plenty here. I'm doing my build as legit as I can. I blew that turbo already so take my chances on another.

Probably by end of summer will be ready for my bigger turbo. Any suggestions? Shooting for 300-350 a 16g should be just fine I no. But everyone runs a 16g and just wanna be kind of different. But it will most likely be one of those seine I'm set up for it so far.
