Hello everyone,

Well I seem to be having a bov related problem. After doing lots of reading it seems to point in the direction of my bov. The problem is that when I am driving and lets say I am going to slow down so I push in the clutch, or when I'm acceling then pushing in the clutch to slow down again my rpms will drop to about 250rpm. However if im already at idle whether im at a stand still or rolling but at idle I can push in the clutch and it won't effect the idle. And if I'm at a stand still in nuetral with the clutch out and I rev it afew times to like 4k and let it drop it dips to right around that 250-300rpm mark. Could this be to my greddy type s bov? I have a little 2" piece of silicone tubing dumping I believe the majority back into my injen intake. It is still loud as all hell though. The bov is mounted on my fmic pipe. To fix what I believe is the problem, I was looking to buy a Forge motorsports full recirculating valve.

Thanks for reading!!

Well the fact that you say it's dumping 'a majority' of the air back into the intake, probably means it's not sealed properly, causing it not only to pull in un-metered air, but also vent part of the air coming from the BOV. The recirculation tube needs to be sealed to both the BOV and the intake pipe, to keep this from happening.

If this is sealed properly and you're still having this issue, something else is going on, but I highly doubt it's anything to do with the BOV...

I may be having another issue then. Because the main vent side of the bov is sealed to the intake. There is just the small nipple expossed to atmosphere. Any other suggestions?

Hmm, boost leak maybe?

Do you have dsm link? There are options in link to adjust how the engine catches itself during rpm free fall to prevent stalling. Though if there is indeed a boost leak or something this would just be a bandaid to the real problem.

I seem to hold steady at 15lbs. Though when I'm just cruising and let of the gas it almost sounds like a whistle. Even if I am not boosting. I am pulling my ecu out to see if it's an eprom on the next nice day then I will be ordering ecmlink.
