Im would like to bypass the infinity amp since I have an aftermarket headunit. I dont want to get the MITAH adapter id just rather get rid of the infinity amp.

Ive read this thread a couple of time and still am a bid confused. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...removing-2g-inifinity-amp-w-diagram-pics.html

I realize you tap the wires from the harness that plugs into the infinity amp. I will be using external passive crossovers like in the tech article.

Heres the part where Im confused. I drew up a quick picture in mspaint to make it easier.

Im confused which wire you tap into for the input to the crossovers. Is it the wires for the rear speakers on the harness?

I didnt have to tap into any of the amp wires to make all my speakers work with an aftermarket head unit. Just go to best buy or a local audio shop and get the harness that does not have any rca inputs just the wires. One other thing is if you want your dash speakers to work on mine i had to wire the other connector straight to the speaker.

Id rather not do it that way. I want to do it the same way as in the tech article. That way if i wanted to put an aftermarket amp in there I could.

If they are rear speakers then you would use the rear speaker output L/R from the harness. If they are front speakers you would use the front speaker output L/R from the harness. The sound will come out the source ie Headunit thru the harness to the input of your crossovers.

Do you know the color of the wire for the front speakers on the harness? For some reason the tech article says nothing about it. :hmm:

Nobody know what wires to tap for the front crossovers on the amp harness?

Or am I supposed to use the front speakers wires that come off the radio harness for the input in the crossovers?
