You can install it in the engine bay, but it'll require more work. You'll have to convert your fuel system from a returnless system by adding a return line.

Hey just wanted to reply to your question. I mounted my FMU in place where the cruise control used to be. The bracket on the FMU had the exact same bolt spacing as the cruise control so it mounted like it was meant to be there. What ratio FMU are you using and how much boost? I'm fully built and am only going to push 7 pounds with stock injectors and have a 10:1 FMU. Just trying to figure out if thats good or bad. I also have the walbro HP 255. Thanks man!

yea but i was woundering what all needed to be done? do i just run new fuel lines back to the stock fpr?

And im just running stock internals with 5-8 psi nothing to big just wanted to try to get into turboing.

oh and i got a vortex 12.1 fmu stock injectors and 255 fuel pump too.

Just mount it back by your tank. Soo much easier.

Yes it does. It is easiest to mount it by the tank. Requires less that 2feet of fuel line and 2 additional hose clamps.

To mount it onder the hood requires you swith your fuel system over to a return type system.

quick question im doing the samething to my car i have a begi rising rate what i did was ran a hose from the test port on the fuel rail to the in port on the regulator and then ran a line from the out port to the top of the gas tank where the old regulator hose went is the this the right way to do it ?
