Fmic

You have to measure and then cut. Not everyone magically knows each size that fits without modification. It also depends on how the pipes are coming in and what not.

I got my VRSF FMIC to fit without removing the crash bar. I cut a lot of it out though so it's useless anyway.

By your measurements most that size should fit just fine, you would likely have to trim a little of the opening area of the bumper cover. Mounting the intercooler can be tricky if the mounts aren't welded where you want them to be.

Only if you get a FMIC this size is where you completely remove your bumper bar.

unless you are reducing weight, you can remove it too. some people cut to fit, but the integrity of it will be screwed so its purpose is now useless.

I installed the ETS fmic on my 1G. The dimensions are 26x7x3 it mounts directly underneath the crash bar - no hacking required (except for enlarging the d-ring holes on the radiator support). Nice kit, but not exactly a bolt-on affair. Here is a pic.

Not completely true. I used mine as a semi-air duct.

ok, so which part of what i said is not completeley true?

that some people cut to fit?

or that the integrity of its main purpose is now screwed?

im pretty sure you are misunderstanding if you use it as a vent, paper weight, monthly planner is up to you, but its still useless for its main purpose, thats what im trying to say. not anything else.

Completely unrelated, but sharp 2g you have there.

I know for the one time I mounted a universal intercooler kit on a 2g, it only took minimal trimming of the backside of the crash beam to make it fit.
