1G Flutter on 1G BOV

It seems I have an issue with my 1G BOV. It starts to prematurely open and shut from 10 psi and up. I've checked for boost leaks and such, to no avail. I did not have this problem prior to my install of a T04B (ran EVOIII @ 19 psi). I've been given some guidance that it's most likely the bov. The amount of air flow has chance thus confusing the valve. I need a BOV with a stiffer spring obviously. I'm running a garrett (49lbs/min.) turbo. I read tons for Tial and Greddy. But need help on moderate to low boost as well as high. My preferred range is 12-24 psi. Any help is appreciated.
 
Make sure your wastegate acutator is working correctly. I don't see why a 1g BOV would just 'stop working' through a turbo install.
 
IDK what the dodge mod is but I have successfully run MANY crushed 1g bov ne where from 14-25 psi on 14b's big 16g's 50-62 Frankenstein gt 35 etc . No fluttering a solid release always. Undo the dodge mod or throw it in the trash and just get a crushed 1g and be done with it. A turd bov will only cause you probs now and down the road.
 
get yourself a greddy type rs adjustable and be done with it. the 1g BOV are great but come on lets be real not to 24 PSI... some people got lucky in crushing and got to 24 psi but not all. the 1g BOV is good for 18 psi ( not crushed)

This makes no sense at all.

Blow off valves aren't effected by airflow. The valve held 19psi with an Evo III, but can't hold over 10psi with your new turbo....well the valve doesn't know what turbo is bolted to the car, so if it held 19psi just fine before it would hold 19psi now. Bolt a GT42R on your car and it will hold 19psi on that turbo, too.

You're not running a BEP T04B V-Trim by chance, are you? Those things are widely known for their horrible compressor surge issues. It sounds to me like you're suffering from compressor surge and blaming the BOV.

If compressor surge is the problem, you're going to have this issue no matter what BOV you bolt on the car.

This is the worst advice I've ever seen. Yeah, let's get rid of a valve that is proven to last 15+ years without a problem and pay $200 for one that needs yearly diaphragm replacement and constant attention and adjustment. :thumb:
