When I turn my car on all of the electrical components begin to flash. Fairly new alternator(Duralast) about a couple months old at most. Flashing goes away within 2 or so minutes. Checked battery and alt with a multimeter. Battery checks out, alt ranges from 14.3 to 15. Multiple grounds were checked, idk if I had missed any. Suggestions?

It's the alternator. I worked at a parts store for three years and almost every alternator that I sold or put on my own dsm did that same exact thing. Then shortly after would fail completely. They are all junk. But hey lifetime warranty right. Lol

I would try and get another one and see of it does the same thing. But I ended up throwing an oem unit on and havent had any problems since. But they are expensive. I cant say why the parts stores one have such a high failure rate. But I would stay far away from them. I have been looking at some higher amp units from motor city reman but havent tried one out yet. Something to look into
