So after wanting to go to the track ever since I started driving almost three years ago, I finally got my chance a couple weeks ago. I only was able to make three runs on a track that many people complain about. My only two complaints was that they were only running the 1/8th mile due to rain somewhere on that back end and the fact that for some reason, my highway tune that i did the night before quickly, turned into a pig rich tune that i think robbed a lot of power. I was running about 20lbs of boost. My profile is up to date...here is the results....

My first run. I spun the shit out of first, bouncing off redline but after that was all hard shifts and nice boost.

60 ft - 2.2657
330ft - 5.8988
1/8 ET - 8.7847
1/8 MPH - 87.55

My second run was my worst. I bogged the hell out of the launch and i forgot what happened the rest.

60 ft - 2.3291
330ft - 6.0231
1/8 ET - 8.9323
1/8MPH - 86.48

My third and final run was my best. I hooked good but missed third. I feel that this pass could have been a high 7's maybe.

60 ft - 1.8241
330ft - 5.2381
1/8 ET - 8.2090
1/8 MPH - 85.22

I feel that if I had a good solid tune and ran the boost I want to (28) with good AFR's (around 11.0 instead of pegged rich on my AEM) then I could have definitely went low 12's converted from the 1/8. Even though, im still happy being my first time to ever race at a track.

Looks good, I see you finally got that launch down... 3rd times a charm! The closest track is an 1/8th mile where I live (the 1/4 track is 100 miles away) so comparing your times/trap speed you'd definitely be in the 12's. The one time I got to run my car at the quartermile track with my current setup I ran a 12 flat and my 1/8th mile time & trap was 7.78 @ 94mph.

On a street tune and only 20psi running that turbo those are numbers you should be proud of, TURN UP THE BOOST! :thumb:

:dsm:

When I first bought the car it was running 28psi....seeing as how its my DD I kinda turned it down a little bit. And I tried using 1/8 to 1/4 calculators but they are all designed around RWD applications, so it was putting me at like mid 13's LOL. Yea I don't think so.

When people ask me "How much boost you running?" when I'm filling up at the gas station and I say 30psi they give the WTF look. Yes, I agree it sounds a bit ridiculous to be running that amount of boost DAILY but its a bit misleading. If they asked me how often my car sees more than 5psi that would be a different answer since I rarely go into boost. Unless I'm at the track or I'm about to be cut off by a semi my car never sees 30psi and its my DD, see what I'm saying?

:dsm:

Yea I know exactly what you mean. But it's more like a restriction on my part. I don't wanna do a quick pull and hit 30 lbs and ruin another motor. I've gone through my fair share. But as soon ad the snow melts it time to go balls to the wall. I got 10s in my sights

WHOA! Hold on man... LOL You've gotta run 11's before you can run 10's! Whats your 10 sec mods list going to look like?

Those calculators are right for the most part. Your 8.209 run is a 12.7x at best. What size turbo are you running?

Well the sheet at the track said that run is like a 13.0 and I am running a Precision 50 trim. My mod list for a 10 second pass? I got a spare 6 bolt block that I am going to get all the works done. Mahle/Manley combo, H beams with 9:1 CR. Im really pushing for a hx40 6 blade, but a buddy of mine might be selling a s362 ETT. Hopefully, they bring E85 over here by the time next season starts, but if not ill dump a couple gallons of Q16 in the tank.
