sup guys well i went to the track for the first time! But unfortunately its only a 1/8th of mile track :notgood: but i think i did OK :| for a first timer! heres the stats (and yes I'm non-turbo!)

1.181 - reaction
2.334 - 60 ft. :barf:
66.78 - speed
10.475 - e.t.

yeah my reaction time sucks need more practice! (i know it doesn't do anything to my e.t.)
you guys think i can hit a high 9? if i lowered my 60ft time?? i was using my 17's with 215/45 falken zeix tires soo that didn't help :notgood: but I'm gonna switch back to my 14 inch stockers next time. YEAH! I'm slow!! but integra gsr's, civic si's, with slicks :p were mostly running high to mid 9's :tease: soo that made me feel better

You shouldn't be that dissapointed. Most FWD cars are not going to run fast 1/8 mile times. I only ran a 9.6 with my 3G and that was with Yokohama Parada's and a 55 shot.

I think that if you can get your 60' down to a 2.0 flat then you should be able to get into the high 9's. I don't think that a 10.4 is a bad time for a NA.

OHHH i see! So that's why those damn mustangs can get low 9's and high 8's easily! It's soo hard to launch this damn FWD :( But I'm practicing! The next time I go to the track, I will have my stock 14's on and so some weight reduction (spare tire, subs etc) hopefully i hit a high 9 ;) BTW!! every time i shift hard and fast to 2nd gear my tires just break and spin for like half a second OMG am i doing something wrong? My tires are not BALD they pretty much grip. (Falken Ziexs) I tried shifting slower but that just literally slows me down (higher E.T.'s :notgood:) When I shift to third its all smooth and good! I know I'm not the only one with this problem, you track guru's help a beginner out!!

let tire pressure out of your tires maybe 20 psi on the 14s get some traction out of them. ny gst on only 14 psi spins them goin into 3rd gear and thats when i get traction is in the middle of third fwd sucks for launching. but i have a solution that i picked out they're called nitto 555r racing street legal slicks.

I must disagree and say I don't think you will reach 9's on the 1/8. Those are some good numbers you have for n/t and I don't think you'll see much improvement. A 2.0 60' will be very hard for a n/t to reach. Unless you put on slicks and goto the track every weekend or get a turbo, I wouldn't hold your breath about getting to 9's.

If your getting a small chirp when going into second, that is to be expected. If your actually spinning a bit then your probably just pressing the gas to early on the shift.

Don't be too upset with that 60' time on a fwd. My best ever was a 2.2 without a real lsd. Getting the nt into the 9's is going to be tough. My car runs 8.88 in the 1/8th at 88mph with a 2.3 60' but I'm making more than twice the power you are.
