Well basically it's hard to start the car on the first start of the day. From what I do know it's not Motor related. The previous owner had the same problem. Not Fuel pressure related either cause my fuel pump turns on as soon as the key is turned to the on position. All i did was buy the shell from him take my motor out of my 1gb and plopped it in shell. I read on here about the CTS being bad is there a way i can test to see? would jumping the two wires together to see if it starts be a good way to test it? Again it's only the first start of the day all the other are smooth sailing. Any other suggestions?

When was the last time you changed the filter? I had a similar issue on my 420a, different car but changing the filter helped a ton. Maybe the fuel system needs the active pressure of the pump to maintain pressure past the filter because the filter is middle-aged. :thumb:

If those gauges are accurate, then your filter is plugged.

I'm unsure of how old the filter is. I've only put maybe150 on the car since I've bought it back in January. I know the car sat for like a year and a half so maybe the filter is plugged.

well I'm still having issues. The car still hard to start. It takes probably around 25 times to start it. Everything I've looked at so far is...

-Ignition timing
-Cam timing
-Fixed O-ring at pump (didn't replace used same one)
-Verified proper CTS operation (datalogger)
-Regulator has no fluid in vac line and has fluid returning to tank
-Used Starter Fluid and car cranks right up and runs

Anyone know what is causing this? Turning the car off and then trying to start it will immediately start. The longer i wait to start it the harder it is to start. Only thing I can think is that the O-ring is still not sealing or the check valve in the pump is going bad. Any input?

Damn man I have had the same issue for 2 years. Its really bad now with 50% E-85/pump gas blend & below 50* temps.

My CTS reads fine and my fuel pump install was done by me. The pressure bleeds instantly though, but its rewired and its comes on with the key in "on." It is a complete ground up rebuild with 8k miles and perfect compression. I only pull 10in hg of vac at idle, so I always thought it was cam overlap related.

I hope you figure this out cause I have no idea wtf is wrong. I don't think I am loosing fuel pressure at WOT, or it would show up on my WB and I'd have to be adding fuel in DSMLink.

You might want to take another look at your install. I know when i fixed my oring on mine my fuel pressure stopped instantly bleeding down. But it does slowly bleed down in a few hours.

RESOLVED MY PROBLEM HERE
