1G First Post - Gas Tank Needed

Good morning,
This is my first thread. I have a 1993 Eagle Talon, fwd, 1.8L. After a lot of consternation due to intermittent engine issues, my mechanic scoped the gas tank and it's completely filled with rust. We've tried acid cleanout to no avail. I've been looking all over for a replacement gas tank and have run into dead ends everywhere. Does anyone have any ideas? At this point I'd be willing to drive across the country to pick one up.

I don't know if this would work for you, but my son restored this horrible rusty tank in his 1987 Honda Accord that turned out GREAT!!!

I thought mine was a goner, but Super Clean degreaser, a pressure washer, and letting Evaporust sit in it for a week and it looked nearly new. You’d be surprised at the tanks that can be saved.

I've heard good things about cleaning and epoxy sealing fuel tanks. But another option is https://car-part.com/. I did a quick search of your car and found three A-grade (so they say) tanks for $100 or less, but they're 500-700 miles from you. That's less than cross country
