First motor pull.

This will be my first time pulling my motor for my winter build. My plans are to slap on precision 6069E turbo, megan racing turbo manifold, eagle rods with weisco pistons, new head gasket, new timing belt, and an new full exhaust with ecm v3 lite. what are the basic steps i would need to have this planned out. i know how to do it just want some advice on somethings i should take a little percation on when putting new pistons and rods in??

Measure things. A lot. Then have someone else double check your measurements.
Clearances specifically.
Also label things when pulling the motor, more detail = easier to get back in.
Add ARP headstuds to your list as well.

when i put the new headstuds in. do i go finger tight or do i torque them down to a spec?

Finger tight. They need to be put in "relaxed"

Finger tight I believe. When you torque the head down then it'll tighten.

If you just "slap" parts together, you will have an engine that will not last.

+1 you will need a lot of time towards measurements!! Don't skimp out on anything! Remember the little things and do not rush!!! After going through a short block assembly I'd almost just save the headache and go with an assembled new short block!

If I were you I would think about upgrading your clutch since you will have it out already.
