just got my 98 spyder gst it is SWEEET its already got bov and intake, needs exhaust, what is the best sounding/performing exhaust for gsts? i heard buschur 3.0, also boost controller? i was thinking the Turbo XS 2 stage

the 3 inch APEX'i sounds amazing.

for boost controller it depends on EBC or MBC. MBC, i say Hallman. if EBC i say Profec.

everybody has the apex-i n1 exhaust and i think they sound "ok".
i use a 3" thermal research exhaust. paired up with a 3" downpipe and it just sounds beastly.

the N1 is pretty quiet, i have the full turbo back and i like the way it sounds, but i kinda want somthing that sounds a bit meaner than the N1 (but thats what the wastegate dump is for ;) ). for MBC, hallman or Joe P. are really good or you could try to make your own for alot less. :thumb:

Why upgrade you have the super sweet bov, and a intake man! ROFL

Just do it right and go Thermal. The apexi n1 isnt actually a full 3 in.

There was a post on here a while ago about exhausts, I liked the way the ATR exhausts sounded. Oh, dont know if you have one but if you dont have a boost guage get one before the controller because our stockers suck.

If you have a local speed shop, hit them up. You can usually get a better price, and just as good a quality from them. Got a full turbo back in full stainless with hi-flow cat and the muffler (dual tip, polished) I wanted for 650. The apexi N-1 catback alone is 500+ shipping. Exhaust sounds mean, even my 5.0 buddies like it.

Before you mod make sure you check all your maintnance items. I would also clean the intake, intercooler, and piping and get a oil catch can for it if you don't already have one. I cleaned mine when I changed my clutch and that alone made some difference. Also, get the boost controller first or you'll get mad creep with that 3inch and even then you'll still have some with the stock turbo. Anyway I've got a rnr 02 elim 2.5in, a cat-replacement and a pacesetter cat back I like it but people tell me it's not loud enough and my engine is too loud :) . Happy tuning.

P.s. also check out the 5th gear shifter wiggle fix and take care of that if your need to my 98 had lots of movement in fifth when I got it
