yes, is that a bad thing? its what came with the car.
The intake runners on a stock 2G head are smaller than the intake runners on a 1G manifold. Combining these two creates a big step down into the head. Not a great setup.

School of thought is the 1G intake runners are too big, and generally only line up with a 1G head. Do NOT port the 2G head to match the 1G runners - not worth it. You would be better off locating a 2G intake manifold and porting the 52mm throttle body flange for the 60mm 1G throttle body instead.

the head was ported and polished to fit the intake.

Might as well run it for now, not a big deal. You can always upgrade down the road easily and mostly cheap with matching 2G intake, porting the TB to 60mm like Justin mentioned, and building a fresh 2g head. Keep up the good work, it's looking great!

what do you mean upgrade with a matching 1g intake? the po had the head ported to match the 1g intake that i have on the car? its already a fresh head to all new parts in it.

fuel pump was a joke to get alined and fit, pretty sure i finished the harness on the bay side, just have to finish running the wires to the battery in back and we should have power back!
