its been awhile but im not done, i dont remember which pump i order but i think it was a gates water pump, it’s already leaking out of the weep hole. so i ordered up a aisin water pump hopefully that will last longer. also finally got brand new in the box 1650’s im trying to save to get a built 20g then im pretty sure were ready for a tune, ima get tires after the tune.

tore it apart, i guess it was an aisin pump already to bad it took a shit. no worries, the new one says it’ll be here tomorrow. got the injector box delete plug thingy too for the hi z injectors. i’ve never liked the tail lights i had on her but it was all i had and i like the clear tail lights i think they’ll match the paint well if they dont oh well we’ll try something else, so i already got the housings off just waiting to fet a couple extra bucks to order them up.

was being a goober and forgot its 6 bolt swapped, ordered the wrong pump 😒 thats on me. the right one will be here in a few days. found some small pinholes in the intake pipe and idk how to or have a tig welder for this aluminum pipe hopefully i can figure something out. then started some sound deadening didnt realize i didnt order nearly half as much as i was going to need. will be have to add that to the shopping list. still saving up for the turbo, half way there.

got the intercooler pipe fixed. got the garbage turbo out ready for the new one. and sanding down the intercooler someone before mentioned it might be a greedy, turns out they were right, it does say greedy cant see it all but i think someone welded the damn mount right on top of the letters if thats factory thats still l wack. also gotta get the mats dyed. they both say “imagine that” they were in the car when i bought it.

got this beauty from justin, i wanted him to build a 20g but waiting time and way more expensive he talked me into this turbo he just got done building. its a T04B 54/70mm billet compressor 65/54mm turbine, he said it should spool the same way as the 20g would, and put me over 400. still waiting on the new 02 housing to get here so cant install it yet and a oil feed line. i was being a goober trying to connect the wire to the spade connector on the trans sensor broke it, already ordered a new one hopefully it works.

fitting the intercooler pipe on the new housing position was a pain in my ass but somehow i did manage to get it without cutting or bending the pipe. also the new turbo exhaust flange was 2.5 and the one i had was only 2 inch so i cut the flange off and welded on a new one went pretty well. got the drain together, supply also on. made a shitty ass boost leak tester surprised it worked. i did manage to get everything back together. she runs. tune sooonnn!!!

okay so this problem happened with 2 different heads, 2 different turbo’s. stock pcv routing and then swapped to a catch can problem still persistant. exessive crank case pressure it was blowing oil out of the cap, replaced it then it shot the dipstick out, ziptied that down for testing, now its blowing out turbo seals. did a little research and they said bad pcv or rings well this was a brand new built motor pistons and rings. changing pcv, check valve did nothing. so then i seen some say a catch can should fix it. i bought a vibrant v3 catch can and it actually did kinda help, but it was still leaking alittle. so i decided to check the rings. i should have done this a long time ago but this is my first boosted car and i didnt know so much info like ring gap would be a worry. but so i pulled everything and surprisedly the rings dont looks bad and wernt over or under gapped but they were gapped for stock application 16 top 18 bottom. but the oil ring on #4 like fell right off when i took it out of the cylinder, but i dont think them being gapped at stock application would give me the problem im having at the moment. i also did a leak down test and cly 3 was coming out of the exhaust and #4 was coming out of the intake which is really weird because i just got that thing back from the machine shop not to long ago. when i first got the car i did a compression check and got 180 across the board now doing a new headgasket youd think the compression would stay right? somehow im at 150 across the board now. hopefully i can figure this dumbasss shit out its keeping me from tuning man 🙃🙃🙃🙃 i already brought the head to the machine shop to make sure there’s nothing wrong with it. hopefully i can slap this back together pretty soon 🙄😒

i am so determined to drive this thing im almost ready to call a dsm professional to finish this stupid mf. i got the head back its 100% perfect holds 90psi on all the valves. he informed me of some thing like the bad hatching from where the motor was built or the cylinder could have got glazed. so he suggested i do a new hatching to make sure it was done right. i got the rings gapped pistons in head on had some bs to deal with first but figured it out. then when i got everything back together and i was ready to try to start it my aoe oil pan gasket looks like it expanded and it spewed oil out 😒 so i stopped there. will fix it and try again tonight. hopefully this thing runs 🙃 i tried my darnest to do everything to a T cant be messing anything up trying to push hella boost yk!
my day job is a mechanic so im pretty inclined.

These gaskets. They look great fit great but they always leak. I tried one myself from a Solo guy here (Aaron something or another?) and mine leaked real bad. You tighten it down too much and you'll bend your oil pan flange it will never seal again.

You're close!

im surprised yours leaked right away i actually had a successful install and no leaks on it for awhile its been on there for probably 2 years til now when i got the excessive crank pressure. probably will just go rtv for now.

Mine just always had a small leak on the timing. Side of the pan. And then it just got worse to the point where it was making literal puddles. These would work pretty well if there was a steel core in them, I think. But I just went back to RTV and haven't had any issues since. It's definitely a pain to pull it but worth it to me.
