Ok so, I've been in to DSMs since I bought my first car. To me nothing can compare to the feel and the power of a DSM which is why I want to do a build and I want to do it right the first time. I'm looking to make 500whp or more so any advice will be helpful.

So far I have a plethora of new parts,
Manley rods
Wiseco 9:1 pistons
stock crank polished and balanced
balance shaft eliminated
+.040" bore
Cometic top and bottom gasket kits w/ metal head gasket
ARP main studs
Brian Crower 280 cams
Brian Crower valves, valve springs, retainers, guides
ARP head studs
Precision 1000cc injectors
Walbro 400 fuel pump
AEM fuel rail
AEM cam gears
Gates timing belt, tensioner, tensioner pulley, idler pulley
DNP exhaust manifold
full 3" exhaust from turbo back
Precision 6262 turbo w/ internal wastegate rated 18-30psi
FMIC w/ custom 2.5" pipe
aluminum radiator
Buschur coil-on-plug ignition
Dynatek arc-2
AEM EMS 2
OEM oil pump and water pump
Shephed stage 3 trans w/ evo III first gear and input shaft
I am probably forgetting quite a few items but this is most of the important stuff.

What I really need to know is about how much boost can you run on pump gas? I live in Hawaii and I don't have access to e85.

What problems, if any, will I run in to with the ignition? I read that setting up a Dynatek on a 90s DSM is more difficult but would that be remedied by the AEM EMS?

From my understanding (although I could be wrong) higher compression allows you to get more hp per psi of boost. So I figured it would be easier to hit my goal without running insane boost. Also I will only be running pump gas for 2 years, once I get out of Hawaii I'll have access to e85.

So my timing belt came in today. I was only able to work for an hour today but the only thing left to do is drop the engine and transmission back in the car.
Since the engine was semi-built when I bought it I now have a lightly used set of Ross pistons and rods that I don't need. They are +.030" bore, if anyone wants them shoot me a PM and we can work something out. I also have the stock turbo and injectors in great condition.

Hey guys, been a couple weeks so I thought I would throw an update up since the car is almost done. We've been having a couple problems that are holding us up but we are pushing through! :thumb:

We finished the engine, bolted on the trans, dropped it in the car, connected the wire harness, connected the intercooler, put some fluid in and fired it up! I only took a short video but something is better than nothing and I'll try to put it up later tonight but I have a lot of things going on.

Anyway, when we were putting in the new fuel pump the old one turned out to be a Walbro 255.:hellyeah: So my official extra parts list consists of the Walbro 255, Ross pistons and rods +.030", stock injectors, stock turbo, stock air intake, and a new-ish clutch and pressure plate (previous owner said he recently put it on and it looks really good). If anyone needs any of these items just shoot me a PM.
