Ok, I couldn't find the battery to my actual camera so I said screw it and I'll take them with my phone. I really want to get my turbo back on so I can get my tranny pulled and I just wanted some quick reviews.

14b Ported to a 7cm gasket. Sorry for the quality... I tried to get a good amount of light so you could see but this shall do. Let me know if I should retake one with a better light source.

2g Manifold Ported. Little too big, but there's nothing I can do...

Ahh, that makes sense too... so the answer is... don't leave a thin bit of material there that's going to go through a lot of vibration/heat cycles and break off into your turbo.... and really, just if you're going to port a stock manifold, don't mess w/ the divider at all. I've seen people widen out the throat there w/o messing w/ the divider before. I guess it was removing the step in the flange/collector area.

That is actually fairly good work. Knife edging the manifold divider is a bad idea though.

It may look knife edged, but it's not. I remember reading something about porting that you're not supposed to do that. So I actually rounded it off. And the very top of the divider kind of got milled off so really I just made everything flow and smoothed it all out.

Thanks for all the opinions and compliments guys.

I used these burrs. They are all still sharp too. With NO wear at all. And they worked great and cheap :D

And I just used an air die grinder.

...but I'm confident this will improve my spool.
And I'm confident this will add a little lag in exchange for a some flow on top end. I'm not sure if that's what you'll want for a 14B or not, but most guys feel it adds power when running at or above 18psi.

If what you're saying is true, a guy could switch between two turbine housings of the same A/R, one being a T3 and one being a T4, and the T4 would spool faster than the T3.

Good porting nonetheless....save that housing and manifold for a 16G!

Ok I understand you. Well at least I got experience out of it :D

And out of all of the things Ive learned about turbo's I've never understood what A/R meant. It would be cool if you could give me a quick explanation. I think it obviously has something to do with the turbine housing size right?

It explains it somewhere on the page.
Even though you ported your 6cm housing to match a 7cm gasket, its a 14b, its still gonna spool fast. The lag difference won't be very noticable in my opinion. I have run a 14b with stock 6cm, 6cm ported, 7cm housing.

Nice job man that thing looks nice. How long do you think it took to take the manifold out to the 7cm gasket without messing with the divider?

Uhm, it's hard to say because I did it over a couple days maybe working on it 1-2 hours at a time. I'm going to say 5-7 hours but that was with me stopping periodically to let my compressor catch up.
