Any ill affects from getting rid of this stuff. I have the motor out and was thinking about taking it out for looks, ease of cleaning.

Rip it out. Makes for a cleaner looking engine bay at the expense of slightly higher engine noise in the cabin.

Yes the earth will loose its gravitational pull and we will all fly into space. But seriously throw that crap in the trash, when your done you'll ask yourself "why didn't I do this sooner?" then you may get like me where you get the engine bay so pretty and clean that the only thing you get done when you go to work on it is drinking beer and staring.
