Firewall Part Identification

What are these two parts located on the firewall of 1G's? Can they be removed without any ill effects (aka CEL's)? I am cleaning up my firewall and engine bay and am only keeping the essentials, but need to know what these guys are before I remove them.

i agree to keep both.just unbolt both, clean behind them and all around the area, then put them back on. it will still be more stuff in the engine bay but at least it will look cleaner.

By cleaning, I think he was reffering to removing anything he can
