It looks like a standard breather filter mod to me. you can pick it up at any auto parts store.

i am sorry, i should have said i know what the part is...but have nowhere to buy one up here in the great state of alaska. ive checked everywhere and they all look at me dumb and ask what i would need that part for and what it is. i just need to find somewhere online to buy one, thanks.

It's just a fuel filter, you can use anyone's. But it won't be in any parts catalog related to a DSM. Just go through the Frams at Wal*Mart, it'll be right there on the pegs in a bubble pack.

i went up to Discout Auto.. grabbed a purolator fuel filter that looked just like that for about.. 3 dollars. I think greddy or blitz makes a real fancy one though that costs 100 bucks if you are in to that.
