Okay so i got my Evo 9 pistons and my motor back from the machine shop. I got a deck, bore, hone, hot tank, polish crank, head surface, vitton valve seals, bronze guides, new freeze plugs, gaped rings ( Top ring .019 and 2nd to .021 I am running OEM Evo 9 piston rings and not graveyard custom ones).
I paid only 265 in machine work which i thought was good. So i got home and started to assemble the motor, by the end of the day i had the motor back in the car. . got everything buttoned up, checked everything with plastigage, and 3x torqued the Arp hardware.

I already have 300 miles on it and broke it in like the motoman method. I checked the compression at 100 miles and it was 175-175-170-175. I checked it again at 300 and it is 180-180-180-178. I didnt really wash the motor since it was hot tanked, but i did use carb cleaner and WD40 on the cylinders before install. Then i coated them with oil.

Evo9 pistons is the route I'm gonna go on my next motor hopefully... looks great dude. Hurry up and break it in.. I wanna see what kind of numbers she puts down. What engine management are you using??

v3 lite, so far i got 175 across the board so i would consider it broken in. By the end of this month i should have about 1k on it and the new turbo setup so we will see what she will do.

looks exactly like what I want to build in the future!! good job!

I didnt time it simply beacause i forgot to torque the crank bolt so, i waited till i mated the flywheel to the block and the tightened the crank bolt and installed everything. The last think i did was the timing belt and acc. belts. It runs great now 180 across the board
