Hello everyone. Is there a way to find what car is my 6-bolt engine from. I only have its number - KX5353Y3. It would be of great use if I knew what year and for which market it was produced. So far I only know it was inside a GSX.

I'm not quite sure that there's any way to tell from the numbers, but we could probably figure it out through a few questions and pictures of the thing. As far as the internals, all 6 bolts should be the same, I'm guessing you just need to know due to the electrical side of things?

Yes, that's right. I am in the wiring phase of my project so I don't want to take any chances :) My engine was imported from Italy (but I don't know if it was European DSM originally or was imported from the US) and the harness is from an European GSX... I think they have some smog restrictions, similar to California cars, but I am not sure if they are the same...
