Finally painting.. PICS of color

well after a long time of wondering what color i want to paint my car.. 350z blue, viper yellow... I have decided to go with dupont mystic chrome.. the same color on the 04 mystic cobra... Before soem of you start hounding me about ti being a waste.. i love the color im not all show.. but i need some help

i noticed on the bottom of my hatch the gasket is loose that holds in the the window.. there is a good bit of rust and where it meets the hatch its so rusty u can push down with your finger and it turns to crumbs.. so should i (A) take the glass out and fix the hatch.. which im told if u try and take it out it will break.. or (B) find a carbon fiber hatch..

buddy club 2 sides and rear
stock 97-99 front bumper with carbon fiber chin spoiler
carbon fiber hood paint matched
tinted windows 20%
stock headlights with hid retrofit kit from HIDTECH

i just wanted to hear what you guys had to say about the color im going to go with and what i should do about my hatch

i like the color alot. it looks good, its flashy, i wouldnt paint your CF hood, leave it to match your hatch. get a CF hatch if you got the money... its so nice looking.

if i got the hatch id paint it also.. i think my car would look retarded painted like that with a black hood and hatch

Wouldn't be my choice in colors but it isn't my car. If you like the color go with it and screw the rest of us.


Not sure what you want to know about the hatch. Obviously it needs to be fixed. I don't think there are really any carbon fiber hatches avaible besides squidskins. I think it would probably look funny with the roof being colored and being framed by a cf trunk and hood.

well the hood and hatch will be painted the same color as the car no 2 tones... the color is called mystic chrome its made from dupunt its 625 a quart but you spray it like a peal so it doesnt tak as long to do.... you really need to see the car in person to get a idea.. but it changes from purple, blue, teal, green, but you really have to see it in person .. i was never fond of flip flop paints but after seeing the cobra i feel in love with it
