MOds:
wiseco pistons 8:8:1
eagle rods
balance crankshaft from slowboy racing
stage two crower cams
stainless steel valves
spring and retianers from crower
spec stage 3 clutch

did anyone run it with out the turbo?
mine runs slow why is that is it because of the low compress pistons.
another thing why is it if i push in the clutch all the way it makes a noise and if i berly push it like half way is okay is it supposed to be like that i mean gears go in good if i only push half ways.

your engine will come back to life somwhat, your engine isnt broken in yet and the rinds probly havnt seated, once they do the compression will be better but since your running that low of a compression to start with it wont be to dramatic of an increase

yeah i thought it would be because of the compression. How many miles should i put before installing turbo?
About the noise it RAttles and if i push it in half ways it dosent i mean gears go in perfect but why cant i push it all the way in its a stage 3 clutch 4puck from spec

Spec clutches are noisey for the first 500-1000 miles. You must break them in very mildly, dont be reving up and dumping the clutch or anything. I have a spec clutch as well and after i put about 1000 miles on it, it completely stopped. It will always make a thump under hard pulls when it clamps down.

I remember breaking my motor in too.. In fact, I drove all the way out to NOPI nationals in Norwalk, Ohio the next day.

The clutch needs to be broken in as well. You've got to give it time. Try breaking in a stage 4 clutch in the middle of traffic in downtown Baltimore. Man, those inner/outer loops confsued the shit out of me..

good luck with the 4-puck man...break it in real carefully......don't forget to be changing your motor oil often for the break in of the motor.

I would have changed it twice by the time it left the shop already. Then again at 500 miles..then again at 1000miles...(you could probably put the turbo on here).....then again at 1500miles making sure that I used conventional motor oil for a while

i know its kind of late but just a lil fyi here is a great article on breaking an engine in http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm i wouldn't install the turbo for about 1000-1500 miles, give the engine plenty of time for the rings to seal very nicely and everything ued to everything else. puck clutches are very tricky when it comes to break in you have to do it very carefully and very softly... i'd go at least 400-500 miles before getting aggressive.

Do your research when it comes to breaking in your engine. That Mototune procedure is a little controversial... not to say it's bad; it's just different. So, just do your homework, and break it in however you find best.

well when i saw that for the first time i though the guy was out of his mind until i asked my regular forum about it and there is one guy that has broken in 4-5 cars that way and he says he'll never do it another way!
