ok, ive had my transmission worked on because it was slipping out of fifth gear... and the mechanic opened it up, replaced some bearings that weren't good, and somethin on the fork deal, but it didn't stop it coming out of fifth, and he talked to some people and found out that it has to be the fifth gear synchronizer...
he then called a place and found out that in order to spend the least money ($400 cheaper) we have to know the exact tooth count on fifth gear, and tell them so they can send the right one... they say they don't know, and my mechanic doesn't know, but i would think there would only be a certain number (they didn't just do it randomly... did they???
), so I was wondering if anyone knew for sure how many there are...?
Thanks
