I installed the FIC fuel rail and frankly I was pretty dissatisfied. It looks pretty, but that's it. FIC must be retarded (good injectors though... IDK what went wrong)
You would think FIC made (rebuilt, rebadge, sell... i know...) the injectors, and the rail, and the seals, maybe they could make them all work together just as good as the oem rail... NOT
end rant. Heres some real questions... (after my observations)

( I did have pretty torn injector seals). When I spun the injectors, the leak sound changed. I could hear them hissing even over the engine. I smelt gas, but didnt see or feel any. NO BLT was necessary I was 100% positive the seals were leaking.

I ordered a new seal kit, installed with oily seals o-ring everything. and couldnt hear any hissing with the engine running. GOOD, but I better BLT... Nope leaks air. no good.

What I noticed, The injectors dont sit perpendicular to the block (I know they lean back, but they lean slightly to the side also, which I know they dont do w/ oem rail)

And the upper seal gets smashed when you install the injectors, there is no room for it.

What gives?

Im probably just gonna order -6 an fitting adapters for the oem rail and polish her up and call it a day. Im only using a 20g turbo. Im just so mad that FIC made such a shitty rail. I refuse to redrill the mounting holes to make it right.

Only reason I have it is because it came used as a package deal w/ an afpr at a price I couldnt refuse.

I would call them tommorrow and tell them your issues? Im sure they can resolve it for you.

Sorry I forgot to post I bought it used so likely no support. I will call and ask tomorrow morning and let ya know what I find.

Any possibility that its just the injector internals leaking? I thought injectors dont flow the other way. Ill hit it with soapy water later to be sure exactly which seals are leaking. pretty sure its the tops though.

Sorry kinda off topic. I also have picked up the fic fuel rail and some fic 750's. However, my friend and I have been trying to chase down all the hardware for it to work( stainless steel lines, adapters, appropriate fuel regulator) I grabbed mine up off dsmtalk for dirt cheap, the guy says it's a -8 an and -6an fittings. I know jack and s*** about fuel systems.

They all lean to the side (lean to the left) the right side (#4) seems to be the most severe, and the left side (#1) seems to be least severe, but leaning none the less. I think #3 captures what Im saying best.

I don't have time now, but after I get back I will BLT w/ soap water to confirm leaks.

Also the upper seals look useless how they are being smashed and warped.

#4 pic is too big... whatever you get the idea...

I have a fic rail and no problems with it..

Does it look like this? vvvvvvvv

FINAL UPDATE (until I get new seals)
I did a BLT again this time with soapy water. I have made the following observations:

- #1, #2, #3 all leak. #4 is 100% fine
- they only leak (1,2,3) from the bottom seals, no upper leaks.
- #3 lower seal is smashed and torn (was new)

With this knowledge, the FIC rail is harder to install than OEM especially with its "offset". I have done 4 injector swaps in the past month. (oem to pte680, pte to oem, oem to fic1050, all on the oem rail) and then swapped rail to FIC rail keeping the 1050s, (with bad used seals) then removed them again to change the seals to new ones. I only had troubles with the FIC rail. I always tested for leaks after the other installs, and had no leaks, and everything was easy and smooth. (I installed into the rail and installed the rail into the block, with lower seals in the block)

So far my conclusion is that this rail needs some fool proof injector seal installation method (im working with FIC to get some lower seals, so far they have been very attentive to my observations and claim they want to help)

I think this is the best method, please correct me... Since 3 lower seals leaked, I will install the seals into the block, push the injectors into the seals, then put the rail onto the injectors, then tighten it down. seem like a plan?
