The ones available at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. I need a coupler to attach my intake to my turbo. Anyone use these couplers and have them last? I'm just conserned about them melting.

That's what I figured, a buddy of mine just put a 2G intake on his GVR4 and used one. I better check on it LOL...

The fernco will fail no matter what. It will tear, or melt.

If you want, please tell us what turbo you have and what intake you have. I will gladly find you a supplier that has the correct silicone coupler for your application.

What intake? You can get a nice 4ply silicone coupler off ebay for about 20$. And they have them going down to 2.75 for t25-16gs from 3" intake pipes or whatever you need. I just bought on from "Turbo" something coupling off ebay (american products) and it fit perfect.

On the intake side it's no big deal. On the outlet side of the turbo their lifespan is measured in days, if not hours.

I've personally used one for years with no ill effects on the intake side.

I too used one to connect my intake to my turbo. I ran it that way all of last summer with no ill effects. However I am replacing it this year with a correct silicone coupler. Moral of the story is, if thats all you have and its for the intake side of the turbo, it will work in a pinch.
