2G Fast Idle - TPS adjustment?

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem, i Just changed my TB buy a new one, but my idle stays at 2000rpm

I'm French, and so if I understand, I check continuity between TB and the stop screw, i turn the TPS (Fully closed when continuity), and i fix the TPS just when the continuity stopped right ?

Because i tried to adjust it at .63v but visibly it's not the good thing to do no ?

You have your pins assignments backwards. You are actually testing the Idle switch (pin 3) on the TPS against Pin 1(5v input) and it shows that it is working as it should. The circuit is suppose to open whenever the TPS is moved from a closed position. If you test that pin to ground(pin 4) it should have closer to 0 resistance at close and open when moved. To test the tps voltage, sweep the sensor while probing pins 2 and 4. You should see resistance increase from 0-4.5k+ ohms.

It's not clear what car you have, and how you adjust the TPS is quite different between a 1G and 2G.

On a 2G you open the throttle slightly using a feeler gauge between the stop screw and the pulley before adjusting the Idle Position Switch inside the TPS to the point where it just breaks continuity and then make sure it regains continuity when you remove the feeler gauge and let the throttle butterfly close.

I hope this is clear, my French is much worse than your English and only good for eavesdropping and getting native French speakers to switch to English to avoid the pain of listening to me.

Continuity should be open at zero, with a .0177 feeler gauge between the stop screw and the throttle body arm on the spring.

Most high idle problems are because the throttle cable on the intake manifold is too tight. So when the car idles high loosen the 2 bolts that hold the cable to the intake and push the throttle body to close. If the throttle body closes more the car should not idle high any more

I think most are caused by vacuum leaks but checking to see if the throttle isn't closing all the way is easier than finding vacuum leaks.
