all right guys heres the problem i just recently bought a 1998 gst spyder with a 6bolt swap i know it has a bad turbo but the problem is that it idles on startup at 2000-2500 rpm and will stay there for around 10-15 mins after starting to drive i can't go over 4000 rpm in any gear is this all related?????

idk right now i was told it ran great before the turbo blew the oil seals i have new turbo im jus waiting on extreme psi for my gaskets to install it..I would imagine it did run great considering all the work was done at pruven performance (according to recipts and paper work) back in 09.

So basically they just put in bigger injectors in place of the 450s and did nothing to tune it.

Imagining it ran well and was tuned properly is a lot different than being tuned right and running properly.

Laserspeeddemon's car was tuned professionally by some fancy speed shop that turned off his knock sensor protection.

So I ask again: How are you tuning it?

im not tuning yet i plan on purchasing dsm link v3 as soon as possible.. As of right now i have on the way an mfpr but this is it right now.

i know that has nothing to do with tuning but at least i will get addaquit pressure.

Well you must be running extremely rich at 4000 rpm, because I would assume you are in boost. The stock setting would have you pig rich with the 450s, so 550s are only hurting you.

That combined with probable boost leaks, and your engine oil probably smells like gas.

Are you recirculating?
