I have followed every instruction I can find, even check vfaq. I didn't have any problem removing the axle nut, the 2 ball joints and pulling the hub off thr axle. I took the plate off the frame to give me more room for the pry bar. Now the darn axle would not pry out of the tranny. Help or any good suggestion I will appreciate. Thanks again
 
i would really like to see an article on how to install an lcd in the place of your stereo.
 
How to install a helicoil kit for stripped out threads in the head where the exhaust manifold studs go. Proper sizing other options etc..

I would like to see a Table Comparing popular turbos in the 420A and 4g63 setups. By a table i mean: Type of turbo, RPM @ full spool, Capable HP, Pros, Cons, ETC.... Also comparing turbos that are similar like Comparing a similar Mitsu turbo to a similar Garrett then Pros and Cons, ETC...
 
I feel somewhat bad now after reading through this thread, as I just finished changing a lot of things asked in here, such as head gasket, valve cover, timing stuff, etc. I basically pulled everything but the block from the car.

i would like to know how to change rear rotor on 95 Eagle Talon tsi awd. I searched because i had a problem with it and they say that it had different size rotor. Also i would like to know what size bolt is required to get the rotor. I get 7mm or 10mm which one is it?
 
can someone please write a detailed explanation with pictures on how to install the greddy profect EO1 boost controller Ive looked but cant seem to find an article on it jet thanks :cry:

now I could be wrong I really have not seen a cold air intake for the eclipse turbos other than a custom one you fabricate on your own see if this helps http://www.vfaq.com/index-main.html I did it on my gst and I can tell the difference. Its about a days work with the proper tools and 2 if you dont have all of the tools. Like I said I could really feel the difference on the horse power of the car and specially under fl wheather where it gets extremely hot :cry: but this mod should help out try it and good luck hope this helps :D :dsm:
 
id like to see a write up on how to do the prothane suspension/motor bushings on a 2g, or a 1g. lots of pics would be nice too sine i havent a clue as to what all is entailed.
 
I'd like to see an article on 2G ABS hydraulic pumps:
  • Are all 2G ABS pumps interchangeable?
  • Are there any other cars that use the same ABS pump as the 2G?
  • Can the pump motor be repaired, e.g. does it use a thermal fuse that can be replaced?
 
A picture walk-through of a complete vacuum hose reduction and misc. other things not really needed in the engine bay would be nice. Something similar to taboospeedshop's diagram, but with some underhood pics and a little more explanation.

I'm not a noob when it comes to tuning, but as it stands now, I really don't know much about the DSM's. I own a 1g 1.8, and there really isn't much about them on the site (or on the web for that matter) in regards to tuning the 1.8. I know there isn't much for an aftermarket for the 4g37, but there has to be SOMETHING you can do to make it a bit faster besides intake and exhaust. :laser:
 
I, and many others on this site would like to see how to swap to a 1990 external air to oil cooler setup , complete with how to cap off the water pipe, where and how to mount the cooler, what cooler, etc. I think that this would be VERY helpful, Thanks!

Can you add a troubleshooting section to the Tech Guides?
My fingers are becoming programmed to type the same thing over and over again... it'll be easier to provide a link.
Something like..

HowTo: Troubleshoot Overheating
HowTo: Troubleshoot Sputtering/Misfire/Stumbling under boost
Howto: Give the cat a bath
etc. etc.
 
Looking for a Howto on a 2G auto to manual tranny swap. FWD. Anyone have a link, or do I need to make one myself?
 
I just instaled an A/F ratio gauge and now my car it acting funny like it wants to cut off when i start it up but when i cut it off and start it up again it doesnt do it and also the gauge cut off when im not on the gas but when i tap the gas it comes back on what did i do wronge and can anyone help me?
 
i'm wondering if its possible to put in a fwd turbo 91' FWD six bolt 4G63 turbo motor/tranny, into a non turbo 89' mitsu. GAlant FWD LS ( sohc 4G63)?

If its possible, please anwser or send info on the swap or where to go? :dsm:
