How much the stock front seat weighs, how much (indicate brand and model) aftermarket seat weighs.
Stock radiator, Fluidyne radiator, etc...
A/C compressor, evaporator... etc...

Some of the heftier parts basically.
 
ive asked around and nobody seems to tell me a direct in depth answer. I would like a very in depth tutorial on timing. Why it works the way it does, why adjusting your timing +/- can have positive or negitive repercusions on power, depending on N20 applications and non-N20 applications. I am aware that timing retards after 7 counts of knock to "save" your engine from premature detonation. But the main issue i have is why timing works the way it does. I know to gain the most power your timing should be advanced several counts, and when it retards you loose power. The several ways to advance timing, or rather keep the timing from retarding are: Decreasing boost, Higher octane fuel, and finally adding fuel at a specific RPM point in which your timing is pulled.
Can anyone else give me more information, from very basic to very advanced on why timing works the way it does, and how it works with different applications, such as N20 and TUNING. thank you for your time-

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, But I've been looking through the tech articles and most of them that have pictures have no pictures (sorry for the bad english LOL)

Could we not have all the pictures in the tech articles hosted on this web site so that they would be around forever and ever LOL?
 
i want to see a tech article on 90-91 dsm's that have their pop up headlights stuck up or down. like what could be the problems,what needs to be replaced and how to get them working correctly again. this would be a great help to a lot of 90-91 dsm's owners such as myself. Thanks
 
need to switch a manual trany into an automatic any advice about wiring and installation

i would like to see a article on making a 10 sec 2gen with a 6 bolt using nitrous and a full garrett turbo set up. i would also like to know what all you would need to make this possible and not blow it up after 1000 miles . thanks alot
 
Hi,

I know it is probably to big to cover all specs (meaning caster, camber and toe), but an idea of what they should be when cars are lowered 1", 1.5", 2", and so on. And if it makes a differences also with tire sizes. If someone can make a rule for example with X tire and lowered X amount you need to adjust caster X amount, camber X amount and toe X amount.

I finally got my car together and need some dyno time....only thing is that I have a sponsor that is willing to do it for free, but its a 2wd dyno....how do you go about setting upa 1997 tsi awd for a 2wd dyno.....much appreciated......650whp???
 
I would like to see how to make your own guage cluster in a 2g using all aftermarket gauges either utilizing stock cluster or by making your own. I have seen a few posts with a lot of interest including myself and I cant seem to find any really detailed articles on replacing every single gauge with aftermarket like autometer cobal gauges. :thumb:
 
The newbies installation guide for airfilter, cold air intake system (with pipe) or something that the newbies like to do when they got their first DSM to increase performance. do you still remember your feeling when you were no nothing about how to install air intake (with pipe) or replace your spark plug with a high performance product. I couldn't find it on this web. Maybe you guy are like pro... but for me just the beginning... so I needed some. :dsm: :p
 
A FAQ on porting turbos to eliminate boost creep. There are a few guys out there that have done extensive porting of the waste gate inlet and outlet areas and successfully eliminated creep. This was achieved without removing the waste gate/turbo outlet divider (also referred to as a PTE style port job), which also works, but is supposed to hurt turbo efficiency.
 
would like to find a tech article on running a return fuel line with a adjustable fuel pressure regulator on a 97 non-turbo without a stock return line (closed fuel system)...

anything would be of great use... look on web but didinot cross anything.. and nothing in your tech articles..

Hows it done whats best to use to tune it ? Aem or reprogram an ecu?
What size of injectors are needed ?Fuel delivery system? Drive train requirements.....etc
I'd like to build 1 and I want to know from some 1 who has before I blow all my cash on stuff I dont need .
