I HAVE SEARCHED THE ARCHIVES TO NO AVAIL SO I AM HERE TO TRY TO FIND A QUICK ANSWER
I'm looking at buying a stock 1990 Eclipse GS Turbo with 90K miles and the owner said the car has had issues running correctly. I was set to go look at the car tomorrow when the owner said he figured out the problem, a failed MAF sensor. When I asked him how he diagnosed the problem he told me that he disconnected the MAF and the car runs 100% with it disconnected. Does this sound right, or would disconnecting the MAF cover up another problem with the car? Let me know what you think. I'm going to look at and possibly buy the car tomorrow.
thanks
