hey guys just the other day i failed my inspection sticker and wanna get some ideas on what it could be. I have an aftermarket BOV that does vent to the air and an aftermarket intake. After i failed i replaced the oxygen sensor up front and the cat but it still failed with some pretty bad numbers. My car also has very weak torque when taking off from a start at low rpms idk if that could have anything to do with it but thought i might as well add it in to give a little insight. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry to say, Ditch that BOV for now. It's not doing you any good. Go to a junk yard and find a 1g, or even a stock 2g one and connect it to the opening just in front of it.

Until you get the proper equipment and software to support it, that BOV will only cause you head aches.

I have my stock Nov but what do you mean connect it to the opening right in front?

I do believe he is talking about the opening on your intake pipe that is plugged off, right in front of your BOV. Take the plug off of it, and run a hose from that opening to the stock BOV after you hook it up.

I have found that any time you have any sort of problem that is hard to diagnose, the easiest way to start finding a solution is to put the car back to stock (as much as possible). This may very well completely eliminate your emissions problem.

Also get a tune. A lot of shops will charge an arm and a leg, but you can find all the tuning info you need at VFAQ.com

No problem ill put my stock bov on tonight just lost the tube that goes to the eci I believe. Also checked my spark plug wires for spark and yup there good. Just tonight gonna look at the spark plugs change fuel filter and might run that seafoam.

See the Air Filter? then to the right of that, the Maf? and to the right of that, the blue coupling? And to the right of that, the verticle Section of the inlet pipe that has the 2 screw clamps and a rubber stopper? That's where the recirculation hose is supposed to go.

sweet thanks im gonna hopefully boost leak test tomorrow and get retested so ill let you all know but thanks again!
