I went and had my car inspected and it fail all of the emission things. Everything said that it wasn't ready I have been driving the car around for two weeks and yet it still has not made the system ready. Any thoughts there..

when the check engine light comes on and it gets cleared over 100-200 miles, also if your battery dies or you disconnect it, it will clear the memory so you will have to drive it a couple hundred miles, what company runs the inspection machines in texas? in ma it used to be spx and we had ways of getting around it

i used to work at a emissions testing place in cleveland, and i would have to disagree with this if your testing is anything like ours. With ours, if your disconnect your battery you lose all memory in your ecu so when we connect to the obd2 there is no info. so then we have to do a tailpipe test with a probe at holding the revs at 3.5k. your best bet is to leave the battery cables and not clear the codes and then change your tune to very lean. when mine failed all i did was take away a lot of fuel and went back through and tailpipe tested again and passed with flying colors. Good luck!

I'm from Houston, my brother who still lives their uses a cheap scan tool, for a temp fix to pass inspection. I know he just did it like 2 months ago.You can only have (I think) one cell running, not exactly sure but any more than one code and they fail you.
