I recently went to get emissions on my 95 talon awd. I thought that it would pass pretty easily, boy was I wrong. It failed kinda bad. Here are the results.

HC (Actual) 3.99 (Limit) 1.20 Failed
CO (Actual) 11.43 (Limit) 15.0 Pass
NOX (Actual) 2.88 (Limit) 2.5 Failed

As you can see I failed the HC really Bad and the Nox by just a little. Prior to taking the car in I changed the plugs and wires. I heated the car up but when I got there it ended up being a 2 hour wait. I kept the car running at just idle while I was waiting. I'm not sure if this helped it or hindered it.

In preperation for my next try I have changed the oil, installed a new fuel filter, and ran some fuel system cleaner through it. I'm also going to use half a tank of E85, wire open my wastegate, and make sure the car is heated up.

One more thing, the car has a slight miss to it. Its not the plugs, what other things should I check on to fix the miss. I think the miss might be affecting the results also.

Any ideas or suggestions on what else I could do is appreciated.

Thats a good point I'm going to do a boost leak test tomorow. I'm almost sure that I have some leaks. Testing for boost leaks should reveal the vaccum leaks also, right?
