Factory Stereo Problem

[AWD 90 Tsi]

I still have the 1990 factory stereo with eq. but after taking out my peday assy (yes i did drop the steering column) and re-installing it my stereo will not work at all (no power) with my lights ON, when they are off it works fine, ANY idea whats causing this??

I know i am bumping but this is annoying the hell out of me, could it be my stereo?? Or do i have something bigger?
