2G Factory radio compatibility

Does anyone know if the factory radios from other Mitsubishi models are compatible with the factory 2g wiring? I noticed the radios and connections look identical on some units that come out of older galants, diamantes, etc. but have different part numbers. My 2g does not have currently have a radio and I am looking to keep it stock but the specific eclipse units have been a pain to find. Thanks!

Is the Avenger unit not the same as the Eclipse unit?

No, unfortunately the connections in the back of the Avenger units look totally different than the Eclipse's.
