i have a question about the the tial external 38mm external wastegate. according to tial's diagram http://www.tialsport.com/documents/w3_tial_wginstall.pdf
the bottom vacuum port on the wg is to source the pressure from the intake manifold (before the throttle plate) would there be a problem getting the air source from a vac. nipple on the turbos compressor housing instead of the intake mani(before the tb)?

also ive been doing alot of searching and it seems the normal rule with tials external wastegate( or all ewg's for that matter) when running a mbc, is to leave the top port on the wg open, and connect mbc wg vac line, to the bottom port on the tial wg. is this the correct way to run an mbc on a tial wg? thanks, john

the nipple on the turbo's compresor housing does not provide any vacuum signal it does however provide a boost signal so this would be fine to use for controlling the waste gate , infact I prefer it . and yes you are corrrect on the setup for the mbc the line would run from the mbc to the bottom port of the waste gate top port remains open to atmosphere
