Just thought I would throw this warning out there for folks who may be doing this as per the new rules going around that you need to have extended studs to race. If you have aftermarket hubs in the front or rear, if they're not mitsu, you're gonna have a hard time. I have some aftermarket hubs in the front, and the shoulder part of the stud, the part that actually gets pressed into the wheel flange is smaller than the ARP's. You'll have to ream the stud holes to make the longer ones fit. You'll also have to grind some of the spindle to get the stud to fit in without damaging the threads. Just a heads up. The rears were just fine, but you have to remove the hub from the car to get the new studs in. Hope this helps.

What is the new e.t. rule for the extended studs? I know Island dragway wants a fire jacket for anyone running more then a stock turbo. Atleast thats how they worded it to me. Then again Im not building my car to run faster then a 11.49 simply because I refuse to cut up the car for a cage.

Not exactly sure time wise, But I was told by a reliable source about needingto have them. It may also be track selective. E-town is doing this, but their tech as been really tight the past 5 years, even for test and tune.

And a lot of road course events want you to have them too.

From brutal experience, if you are pulling under 1.2G, you can use RRE's Koyo(?) studs with confidence - once you exceed 1.2G you need to use ARP studs, at least in the font.

The results of a wheel breaking free are extremely ugly ! If you do not have data logging to monitor lateral G, order RRE's ARP studs; you do not want to make a mistake on this - I did, trust me on this...
