I looked at my timing yesterday and am unsure which mark is the 5 degree btdc. Is it the arrow at the very top? I was just above that mark so is that too advanced or too retarded?

You cannot adjust the timing on your car, but just to make sure...it is the mark after the big T and before the 10. Basically you want it hovering right between the T and the 10 on the TB cover.

Some 2G's have a Cam Angle Sensor, while other years have Crank Angle Sensors.

If you have a Cam Angle Sensor, you can time it by loosening it and turning it on the camshaft.
