I just bought a 94 GS today.. 2.0 Non turbo..
I noticed the exhaust had a bit of a sputter to it, but didnt think much of it.. well upon further examination it appears that the top right stud has broken off inside the block..
I took it to an nearby exhuast shop and they told me its going to have to be drilled out, and have a new one threaded in which would be pricey cause its an aluminum head... $70/ hour plus the cost of the parts, so I have no idea how much this is going to run me if I have a shop do it...
are there any other options besides letting it sputter around? I dont have the tools to do it myself, I just moved in the OKC area and I dont have any connections with shops... it also appears the flange between the manifold and downpipe are leaking as well, so I will probably just replace the stock mani and DP with aftermarket headers as soon as I can..
