I'm wondering if there is a sequence to tighten the exhaust manifold onto the head. I couldn't find any in my manual, but I read somewhere there was (maybe I got confused with head gasket). If there isn't, does anyone have a recommended sequence?

Thanks

Not sure what the manual says either, but always been taught to tighten oppositely form what you are doing for anything. Go bolt one then bolt 9 then 2 and 8 and so on so forth. Tighten them up half way on each then snug down to the appropriate pressure, which i dont know what it is.

I just hand tighten all the bolts. Start in the middle and then work your way out. Dont over tighten the bolts as the studs are pretty brittle. Make sure you work your way to the outside alternating with the upper and lower. Good luck!

If your hand tightening them first then it dosn't matter what order you put them on. But when you go to torque them down, then yeah go opposite sides. I think the torque specs should be on the first page of the exhaust chapter. But you knew that already.:rocks:
