lethbridge,
hey guys. well i've had my car off the road for so long now i can't even remember what the ignition sequence is for when you turn the key. When you turn your key to on, the lights come on and i hear an audible clicking noise coming from the engine bay for a couple seconds, but i can't remember if the fuel pump should turn on for a few seconds as well when the key is in the "ON" position. because if it should, mine doesn't.
my engine will not start up, and i suspect i bent some valves when i tried to start it after i "fixed" my timing belt tensioner. but in the glimmer of hope i'm asking:
1. if the fuel pump is supposed to run when you turn the key to "ON" why doesn't mine?
2. i know the ECU controls the power the the injectors but is there anything else that would prevent them from firing? i've replaced the ECU already and the resistor is fine.
3. does anybody know how to test the CAS?
4. what other major sensors would have a direct impact on the basic function of the engine itself?
I brought the car in originally under its own power to fix my timing belt tensioner. i did so and put it back together and it wouldn't start after that. so i'm really quite sure that i messed something up with the initial timing and bent some valves but any information would be greatly appreciated.
thank you
Jason.
