I mentioned this a bit in my last thread. So I took my 98 GS to muffler man to get my new header and car back installed. Especially since i had stock exhaust with about 5 exhaust leaks. It was about a 3 hour wait then they call me in to look at it and the car back didn’t seal with the cat so they had to put another piece of pipe in and weld it in so it would be fine just a little more money which i agreed to. So they finish around 30 mins later and i go out there and it sounded great but when it isn’t revved it made a little rattle sound he said it sounds like it’s around the Tranny. But said it was bad. So i pull out and leave after paying and i instantly notice the performance upgrades it was way quicker and worked amazingly and smooth. i Drove home to inspect it and it looked great. I then drove around for 30 minites and i notice at about 1500 rpm in second gear to 2000k it would make a rattling noise from the exhaust or a crackling and vibrates the car a tiny bit. which immediately caused me to worry, it began doing the same thing in 3rd at the same RPMS and not to mention once you get higher in the rpms it is gone and it’s smooth again. just the initial Acceleration is rattling. so about 8 hours pass after i research and stuff i go and drive and when i let off the gas i hear a more higher pitch scratchy sound? or something of the sort from back there. yet when i accelerate it makes a lower pitch crackle/ rumble. Is it just unburned gas? i run 87 octane. if anyone knows how to solve this i would greatly appreciate it since it’s about 50 miles new. i don’t know if it needs to be broken in or what? it just doesn’t seem normal at all.

Is it going TINGTINGTINGTINGTING or more like DUDUDUDUDUDUDUDU?

In all seriousness, check your exhaust hangers, maybe they forgot to put one back on and it's hitting something? I bet if you jack up and look under the car where the sound is coming from you'll find your problem.
