Exhaust Gasket Material???

I'm wanting to make or purchase an exhaust gasket for my girlfriends 96 GSX. Is copper the way to go?? I run a water-jet machine at work and making this park would be no problem. I have see gaskets that are bent into the port for "better fit"....is this true? Any advice or knowledge would be appreciated.

Just order a copper gasket. They sell 4 layer ones that seal real nice.

If you can make copper gaskets, just machine 2 thin layers ( I have no idea how thin those things are, but they're thin!) and crimp them together on the edges. Voila! DIY gasket.
