Exhaust Gasket Help

Hello. I just bought a used 3" Apexi N1 turbo back exhaust system. Anyways It didn't come with gaskets. I was woundering If I would be able to use RTV copper silicone gasket maker, Instead of buying the gaskets? Thanks

I wouldnt use anything like that on exhaust parts im sure you can but why not just buy the gaskets they cant be to much and you will know you did it the right way no worries..

Gasket is about the same price as the rtv which I wouldn't trust.

Just get the vibrant gaskets.

just go to your local auto parts store they should have a assortment of exhaust gaskets. I went to Oreillys and got 2 gaskets for my down pipe for 5 or 6 bucks.

BUT make sure they line up and seal properly.. no point in getting a gasket if it won't do its job.

I just can't see it holding up after.....at all.

personally on all my exhaust gaskets I use copper spray on composite gaskets without any problems at all

that's the copper SPRAY, not the RTV. use gloves when spraying as it's extremley sticky and hard to wash off.

Thanks guys. I went everywhere trying to find the gaskets. Couldn't find them anywhere. Until I went to RRE. I don't know why I didn't call them in the first place hahaha. Anyways I installed the exhaust today with the help of one of my buddies. Again Thanks guys
